| Self-fulfilling prophecy is the belief that if, someone believes you can achieve something you can achieve it by subconsciously trying to live up to their standards. Robert Rosenthal headed the study on self-fulfilling prophecy. He gave a group of elementary students a test and studied the results. He then took several of the average students tests and told the teachers that they were very gifted. He studied the progress the students made under the new assumption that they were "special" and watched as they achieved higher grades. | ||
