Obedience

OBEY!

Stanley Milgram lead the experiment on Obedience. He choose randomly from a group of people to do a test on "Memorization". The experiment put one researcher into a separate room from the one being tested, where they could not see each other, and was told to yell and carry on every time a light went on. The person being tested was told to ask a variety of questions, being the "Teacher", and for each question answered wrong the participant had to shock the "Student". The shocks ranged on a scale from pinprick to deadly. Most experimenters believed that none of the participants could be as cruel as to shock someone on the deadly scale. They were proven wrong. The majority of the people tested pushed the buttons to the deadly scale and only did so because they were told to.
