The Hawthorne effect is the idea that if you are by yourself you will not work as well as you would if somebody were watching you. Elton Mayo headed the study on the Hawthorne effect. He originally took two women and their friends and tested how different lighting would effect their work ethics. The women found out that they were being watched so they preformed at the same level if not higher than they had originally. | ||
